Gas kits distribution

Four gas kits were distributed among four IDP families living outside Relief Camp in Imphal West (1 at Langol meetei Leikai RC, 2 at Konthoujam RC and 1 at Langol Alternative Housing
Complex), which was duly supported by The Untouchables, Bengaluru and implemented by CSA and Initiative for Noble Service. Following the ongoing displacement crisis, many families residing in relief camps initially depended on community kitchens for their daily cooking needs. Over time, this system transitioned to household-level cooking arrangements, creating a need for individual cooking facilities. While some families managed to restore their LPG connections using valid documentation, several vulnerable families were unable to do so due to lack of required identity and address proof. Consequently, they relied on unsafe cooking methods such as firewood or borrowed facilities, impacting their health, safety, and dignity. This intervention provided the IDP families with safe and hygenic cooking solutions, reduced health risks associated with unsafe cooking practices and promoted dignity and self-reliance to these households.
